AUSTRALIA POST’S new iPhone and iPad application rose to the top of iPad’s Most Downloaded Free Apps within three hours of its release earlier this month.
The program, which Australia Post expects to be popular across the Goulburn Valley, enables users to track postal items, calculate postage costs for letters and parcels, search for postcodes, locate Australia Post retail outlets and nearby street posting boxes and direct access to POSTbillpay services.
“When French postal organisation Le Poste launched their iPhone App on April 19, it was downloaded 75, 000 times on the first day, so we’re expecting our customers to take to the technology with equal enthusiasm,” Australia Post General Manager, Internet and Contact Centre, Bray Jacobsen said.
The Australia Post iPhone application can be downloaded by visiting the iTunes App Store, or alternatively m.auspost.com.au if you have a smart phone and internet browser.
