A DYNAMIC duo, internationally renowned conductor Stanley Dodds and his brother, violinist Daniel, will perform in Shepparton later this month as part of Melbourne Symphony Orchestra’s 2010 regional tour.
Under the baton of his brother, Daniel will perform a selection of classical orchestral pieces at the event tonight, Wednesday July 28 at 8pm, at Eastbank Centre in Welsford Street, following a pre-concert talk at 7pm.
“This is a very exciting opportunity for locals to experience the magnitude of this very large orchestra,” City of Greater Shepparton Manager of Performing Arts and Events Steve Donnelly said.
“We’re very privileged to have an orchestra of such calibre, one of the world’s best orchestras, visit us. They’re definitely worth seeing.”
Following their concert, MSO will present ‘Classic Kids’, a children’s concert for pre school and primary school students at 10am on Thursday July 29 and ’Meet the Music’ for years 4 – 8 at 11:30am.
Bookings for all concerts should be made through Shepparton Performing Arts Centre, phone: 5832 9511.
