Riding in support of carers

IN it’s 10th year, the 2010 Fruitloop Ride will see hundreds of competitors turn out in a show of support for GV Hospice.
Kicking off on Sunday, September 12th from Princess Park, Shepparton, competitors have the opportunity to compete in the 50km and 100 km rides over flat terrain, or the more challenging 180 km event which includes a 14 km climb through the Strathbogie Ranges.
All entrants are automatically placed in the draw to win... 1st prize of the MALVERN STAR Oppy Flat Bar road bike valued at $899, 2nd prize, a Giros Ionos Livestrong Helmet valued at $499 or 3rd prize, a Cateye V2C   Speed/Cadence Cordless Cyclo Computer valued at $345, 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th prize of a XLC Tool Kit valued at $199 will also be presented. 
All proceeds from the day will be donated directly to GV Hospice to assist with 24 hour care service.
Organiser and Proprietor of Don Ash Bike Hub, Trevor Morris said, “It’s a charity that is very dear to my heart, knowing the girls in Hospice and the important work they do, they are very special people.”
Mr Morris continued, “There are not many hospice carers who are available 24 hours per day 7 days per week like GV Hospice and it’s only because of fundraising events like this one that it is possible.”
